Suzuki Unveils the All-New V-Strom 800DE Adventure Motorcycle
Suzuki introduces the V-Strom 800DE, a mid-weight adventure bike featuring a powerful 776cc, 4-stroke, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, advanced electronics, and enhanced off-road capability. Expected to compete with leading rivals in the adventure segment, it's set to hit Indian markets soon.
Suzuki has expanded its V-Strom lineup with the launch of the all-new V-Strom 800DE, a mid-weight adventure motorcycle designed to tackle both on-road and off-road challenges. This new offering fills the gap between the V-Strom 650XT and the larger 1050 models, targeting riders seeking adventure and versatility.
At the heart of the V-Strom 800DE is a 776cc parallel-twin engine that delivers a robust 83 PS at 8500 rpm and 78 Nm of torque at 6800 rpm. This engine promises a smooth and balanced performance, especially with its 270-degree crankshaft, which emulates the feel of a V-twin. The bike features a six-speed gearbox with constant mesh for seamless gear changes.
The V-Strom 800DE stands out with its advanced electronics, including a Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) with three riding modes (Active, Basic, Comfort), traction control, and a dedicated Gravel mode. The 5-inch TFT display provides clear information, while the adjustable windscreen and long-travel suspension enhance rider comfort.
The bike’s rugged design incorporates a steel frame, 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, and 220mm ground clearance—ideal for off-road adventures. Dual-channel ABS, with a switchable rear system, ensures safety without compromising off-road control.
In India, the V-Strom 800DE is expected to be priced around ₹10.30 lakhs (ex-showroom), positioning it against competitors like the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport and Yamaha Tenere 700.
